MY STORY
Helping others, help themselves
I started studying holistic and natural healing around 2013 after I experienced a mild stroke. Sure, I had exercised, thought I ate healthy and didn’t think much of my mortality. A month before “the incident” (I do not say my stroke as not to own it), I was sitting on my porch in Georgia on a warm pre summer day and was smoking a cigarette. At that moment, I thought this is not serving me any longer and knew I needed to quit.
June 23, 2013 changed that. Without all details, I woke up on a Monday morning and experienced something I never felt before. I could not speak clearly nor lift my right side. As quick as that came, it left, and had no idea what just happened. Well being the somewhat vain person I am, I told my husband that I needed to take a shower and shave my legs before going to the hospital. Dumb move , without question. After the shower, I had another mini, and an ambulance came and whisked me off to the hospital.
I quit that day after being addicted since 16 years old. I was very lucky that there were no major residual side effects. Maybe some fatigue and hip pain. It beats the alternative for sure. That brought me into a deeper dive of my lifestyle, eating and supplement habits. I wasn’t terrible, but after understanding GMO’s and what they can do the body, I went organic and starting reading all my labels. I become a passionate self-taught student of holistic, natural and alternative health.
Fast forward to 2016 which IMO, was the worst year ever. My only brother had passed away and my husband was diagnosed with a rare stage IV cancer. When a certain cancer center said if he did not follow their “conventional protocol” he would die within 6 months. I said hell no this is not how our story will end. I went into warrior mode and researched every little thing I could help my husband with natural/alternative modalities.
As of 2022 he is NED (no evidence of disease) for 6 years! I have worked in several “wellness” centers since 2017 and have found them not to be very well for many reasons. But what has come out of those centers are some great education and modalities. Hence, the creation of Healing by Frequency was born. I decided I would spend my days turning my pain and trauma into helping others to heal and find wellness
